BREAKING NEWS
Barratt London
Earlier this year I applied on behalf of The Christopher Singers, with John's blessing, for a donation from the developer behind the New Mill Quarter development in Hackbridge, The Barratt London Community Fund which is part of the new nationwide Barratt Homes and David Wilson Community Fund.
We didn't think we had any chance BUT you don't know until you try!
It is with the greatest of pleasure that I can announce that we have been
chosen as a recipient to receive £1,000 by Barratt London.
This will be a great help for us to continue our good work entertaining the public and supporting The Oak Centre for Children and Young People, The Royal Marsden, Sutton.

BREAKING NEWS
It is with deep regret that I report that Sutton Theatres Trust has gone into administration.
Unfortunately, many people will be affected by this including The Christopher Singers, who will
be filing a case with The Administrators for non payment of our invoice for 'All at Sea’.....a very apt title. We don't hold out much hope into getting a payment…..but as we say “the show must go on”.

NEWS
Sutton Guardian, March 13 2013
'London Calling' in the press! Extracts below:
"The Christopher Singers are a locally-based group who started out more than 30 years ago.."
"..they came together with the goal of raising money for local charities and since 1991 they have managed to raise almost £40,000 for Sutton's Royal Marsden Hospital."
Founder, John Steel, says "London Calling came about when I was inspired by the opening ceremony of the Olympics. I'd never seen anything like it, I was gobsmacked. After the Olympics and the jubilee I thought I would try to revive people's memories by putting on a concert featuring the music of London. It starts with music from the 17th and 18th centuries and goes through the First and Second World Wars up to the jubilee and the Olympics."
